Concert ~ Volcano the Bear LIVE

La fel ca This Heat – una dintre trupele importante care i-au influentat – daca Volcano the Bear ar avea un motto, acesta ar fi: „All possible processes. All channels open„. Muzica lor e ancorata in progresivul avangardist englez al lui Robert Wyatt sau Henry Cow, in post-punk-ul DIY al celor de la Alternativ TV, in free improv-ul european si in noise-ul industrial al anilor 80. Asa se face ca, de-a lungul timpului, au fost comparati cu The Residents, Nurse With Wound sau Faust, printre altii.

In prezent, Volcano the Bear este un duo format din Aaron Moore si Daniel Padden, multi-instrumentisti, amandoi implicati in numeroase alte proiecte muzicale cum ar fi The One Ensemble, Textile Orchestra sau Amolvacy, iar dintre colaborarile lor live le amintim pe cele cu Michael Snow, Mats Gustafsson, Paul Dunmall, Jeremy Barnes sau C. Spencer Yeh. 

Au inregistrat pana acum peste 15 albume la case de discuri ca Misra, Beta Lactam Ring, Textile Digitalis sau No-Fi dar si la propria lor casa, Volucan & Volfurten. Cel mai recent – „Golden Rhythm / Ink Music” – este scos la Rune Grammofon, label-ul preferat al celor preocupati de experimente electronice.
